Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi is an academician and academic administrator and has been involved in teaching and research for the last more than 39 years. He has over 415 publications (with over 25500 citations, h-index: 51, i10-index: 221), including 33 book chapters, twelve books and guided twenty seven Ph.D., four M.Phil. and over 200 MD/MS/MDS/DM students. Supervised over fifty research projects, including the prestigious DST – FIST and The World Academy of Science, Italy (TWAS) Projects. His name has been listed in the worldwide ranking of top 2% scientists from India as recorded by Stanford University, USA.
Prof. Mahdi has been a Visiting Professor/Lecturer in institutions of China, Barbados and U.K. Moreover, appointed Examiner/Expert by numerous national and foreign institutions, including those in Egypt, China, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Palestine and Iran.
Received about two dozen academic / research Awards including D.Sc. (Hon. Causa) from AIIMS, Bhopal, Fellowship of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (India), Association of Clinical Biochemists of India and Indian Academy of Biomedical Sciences.
Editor/Member Editorial Board of many International and National Journals and reviewer of innumerable national and international journals of repute.
Prof. Mahdi has the distinction of being President of five national scientific societies, namely Association of Clinical Biochemists of India, Indian Academy of Biomedical Sciences, Founder President – Indian Society of Critical Care Toxicology, 2018-, Founder President – Society of Precision Medicine and Intensive Care and Founder President – Indian Society for Lead Awareness & Research and Vice – President of Association of Clinical Biochemists of India, Society of Free Radical Research, India, Indian Society of Chronomedicine.
